Artist and real estate entrepreneur with projects based in New York, New Orleans and Basel
David P. France is the Founder and Artistic Director of David P. France Dance Company, Inc. He is also an artist and entrepreneur with projects based in New York, New Orleans and Basel. Currently, he is the Managing Partner of New Marigny Properties LLC, a real estate and community development corporation. He also serves on the Board for 100-106 West 141st Street HDFC, a low-income housing cooperative in Harlem, New York City. From 2001-2007, David performed with Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company in New York City. In 2007, David also served on its board. Since 2007, David has served as an Ailey Ambassador for the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City. From 1999 to present, he has served as an alumni volunteer for his alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania and is a founding member of the Annenberg Guild for the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. David graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds law and business degrees from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana.
